Nav Canada Negotiations Update #3

The union and the company are currently in discussions attempting to establish new salary scales resulting from the implementation of the new classification plan.  Since this is of critical importance to both the IBEW and NAV CANADA, both parties agreed to postpone collective bargaining and focus our efforts on implementing the new classification plan including finalizing the salary scales. This means that our next face to face meeting for collective bargaining will be the week of November 16.

Some of you will be disappointed by this news but your negotiating team and the union’s Executive Board all agree that implementing the classification plan must take precedent over other collective bargaining subjects.

Updates on these discussions will follow at the appropriate time.
