Tentative Agreement with Rogers

I am pleased to announce a new tentative agreement between the IBEW LU 2228 and Rogers Media Inc. covering City TV and Omni in the Edmonton Market.


The new agreement is a four-year deal starting January 1st, 2022 and ending December 31st, 2025.


The highlights of the agreement are:

  • Economic increases of 0, 0, 1%, and 1.25%.
  • Access to the Rogers Total Rewards program including Rogers Group RRSP, Rogers Group TFSA, Employee Share Accumulation Plan, Employee Discount programs which the members have sot to be part of for some time.
  • Language in the collective agreement was updated to include changes to the Canada Labour Code as well as clarification in language.


I would like to thank the Union bargaining Committee for their valuable input to the negotiation process and for their efforts to arrive at an agreement that meets member expectations.

I would also like to thank the Rogers negotiating Team for meeting with us and working toward an agreement.
