Business Manager Update

As mentioned in a previous post, I have been working on our members’ list with the goal of creating several smaller lists that will need to be verified by local stewards, officers, and members

I would like to share the information contained in our current list as it stands today. While there are clearly some errors in the data I am about to share, I still believe it is useful. Even if imperfect, it provides a fairly accurate picture of our demographics, who we are and where we work. It will also serve as a baseline so we can measure the results of the clean-up that many of us will be involved in.

To be clear, there are some obvious errors in ths list. I spent much of the last week negotiating with Brookfield for the 5 members working at the Pontiac dam. Also there are 3 members at Chugach, 4 members at the Business office, and all members are clearly employed by one of our employer in one of our regions…

Still, I share this information, imperfect as it is, because it is the clearest picture I have yet seen as to exactly who and where we are. My office needs to know this to serve you effectively, our board needs to know this to represent you effectively and our members need to know his to truly understand the scope of the communoity that we are a part of.
