President’s Award Winner 2025

Members of IBEW Local 2228,

It is my privilege to announce that Jim Hall is the recipient of the 2025 President’s Award.

Brother Hall has represented the members at Suffield with a tireless dedication that has not gone unnoticed. Through a period of genuine difficulty for that unit, he provided steady leadership keeping members informed, advocating on their behalf, and holding the unit together when it would have been far easier to step back. In recognizing him, the Executive Board affirmed what the members at Suffield have long known: his commitment to his fellow members is unwavering.

The President’s Award is among the highest honours this Local can bestow. It is reserved for members who give of themselves without expectation of recognition, and Brother Hall embodies that standard.

On behalf of the Executive Board and the entire membership, I extend our sincere thanks to Brother Hall for his service and for the example he has set.

I would also offer my apologies for the tardiness of this announcement. Brother Hall’s contribution deserved to be recognized promptly, and this delay in no way diminishes the esteem in which this Local holds him.

Congratulations, Brother Hall. You have our respect and our gratitude.
